Piscataway Democrats Working to Make Our Township a Great Place to Live!

Dear Friends & Neighbors:

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the work that we are doing to improve our quality of life here in Piscataway Township. Like you, we feel that Piscataway Township is the best place to live and raise a family and we are dedicated to working together for an even better Piscataway!

We all work hard for our money and value our time. Challenging economic times call for dedicated, experienced and proven leadership. We need to make every penny of our tax dollars count! We have worked to make our government smaller and more efficient. Our commitment to the highest standard of municipal services is unwavering. We pledge to continue to seek out new and innovative funding sources to ensure that we maintain our forward momentum to provide the highest standard of services, protect our vital park system and open space areas while improving our local road networks and traffic conditions. Improved infrastructure ensures that you spend more time at home and less in traffic!

Our Policemen and women keep us safe while offering many community oriented programs such as the Citizens Police Academy, Youth Week, Neighborhood Watch Groups and the D.A.R.E. program in our schools. An expanded Senior Citizens Center offers social opportunities for those enjoying their “golden” years. The Meals on Wheels Program and Senior transportation ensures that those who are homebound or can no longer transport themselves have healthy meals and can get to and from our local shopping centers. Our libraries have been updated and expanded and the once abandoned gas station, adjacent to Westergard Library, is now a pocket park.

Our recreational opportunities and parks are second to none! We are all proud that Piscataway Township was the only New Jersey town to receive the Sportstown USA award from Sports Illustrated magazine and the National Recreation and Park Association. Just recently, Piscataway Township was ranked 23 out of the top 100 Best Place to Live in America! We all can take pride in knowing that we are amongst the very best! For a large municipality with many residents, we maintain that small town atmosphere that makes us a community.

We will be knocking on your door to talk and ask for your support, but in the meantime, if you have questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to email us. Again, thank you.

Sincerely,

Brian Wahler, Mayor
Ken Armwood, Council President
Mike Griffith, Council Vice-President
Gabrielle Cahill, Council Candidate
